A few hours ago, I landed in DCA after the perfect Dallas reunion weekend with Katie and Kelleen. This trip is always a winter highlight as it is basically two days of non-stop story swapping, laughter and delicious food.
This weekend was no exception-it was a perfect, restorative trip.
And as for the food…I’ve just spent this
painfully long Super Bowl game trying to find a recipe from last night’s meal. We went to Mesa, an incredible Veracruz restaurant. Guiso del Chef caught my eye, as I was eager for some fresh seafood. The dish delivered-it was simple, fresh and very flavorful. However, my unsuccessful Internet recipe pursuit makes me think it’s a Mesa secret-but one I just might have the guts to recreate one day.
